Terms of Service

1. The service

Bill Divider AI helps you parse and split phone carrier bills and general receipts using AI. It is provided as-is for personal and small-group use.

2. AI accuracy disclaimer

Bill parsing is performed by an AI model and may contain errors. Results are a best-effort estimate and should not be relied upon as financial or legal advice. Always verify totals against your original bill before making payment decisions. We are not liable for errors in AI-generated output.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service to process bills you do not have the right to access.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the API.
• Upload malicious files or attempt to inject content into AI prompts.
• Resell or redistribute the service without our written permission.

4. Free tier and paid plans

Free accounts include up to 5 bill-splitting sessions per calendar month. Paid plans are billed monthly via Stripe. You may cancel at any time from your account page; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial months.

5. Account termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, abuse the free tier, or engage in fraudulent activity. You may delete your account at any time by emailing hello@billdivider.com.

6. Intellectual property

The Bill Divider AI name, logo, and application are owned by us. You retain ownership of any data you upload. By using the service you grant us a limited licence to process your data solely to provide the service.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bill Divider AI is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including errors in bill parsing or payment disputes between group members.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of the state where we are incorporated.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
